I've seriously closed the windows some nights b/c I'm afraid the neighbors might call the authorities! From HER yelling! We used to spank, but it was something that we'd threaten for sooo long before doing, and then my husband would barely touch them . . it just didn't work. So we haven't done it in a year. With the bedtime thing he spanked her and it worked for 4 nights -- for him. When I upped it, well. And I'll always take parenting advice from you!Kimnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1775059803665454920.post-34568456360750425712011-05-10T16:12:20.000-05:002011-05-10T16:12:20.000-05:00It does suck, it does! Right now we're sitting...It does suck, it does! Right now we're sitting on her bed until she calms down, not talking to her etc, then telling her we'll come back up in a few minutes. So far it's working, kind of. Beyond frustrating, b/c I thought I was past this. I need all the luck I can get!Kimnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1775059803665454920.post-20143686978856072512011-05-10T14:48:52.000-05:002011-05-10T14:48:52.000-05:00So she doesn't have reflux anymore? But proba...So she doesn't have reflux anymore? But probably her history of it gave it her some horrible associations with sleep...? I don't know what the eff I'm talking about BTW. Is it purely a behavioral thing now? I gotta tell you, if the spanking thing works I'd be so hard-pressed to not do it. Especially if it's all that standing between you and a good night's sleep. But you might not want to take parenting advice from me :PLynnhttp://www.autismarmymom.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1775059803665454920.post-63095033065893016752011-05-15T03:37:19.000-05:002011-05-15T03:37:19.000-05:00Oh My goodness she is a fiesty one! No clue what the time is and I don't bother ushering her back to her bed. Because I'm too tired and lazy. But after the pain in my back from last night's sleep fiasco? Hell no. I will be marching her back down the hall. Mama needs a break.Jess@Straight Talkhttp://straighttalkjess.comnoreply@blogger.com
