What If . . .

What if you had lunch with your husband. . .

You drove him back to work . . .

He kissed your pregnant belly . . .

And that was goodbye?

What if that was the last time you looked into his eyes? Felt his fingers brush your hand? Felt his lips press against yours?  Watched him smile at your young son, love in his eyes?

What if, later, you found yourself in the woods, lights flashing, hearing friends say, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." ?

What if this wasn't 'What if" ?

On Tuesday, November 9, 2010, this is what happened to Veronica King. Her husband, Jeremy, kissed her goodbye, finished his work day and went hunting. He had a heart attack and died. He was 31.
